2. Citiţi.

How long does it take to get over someone? A breakup can leave you upset for months or be forgotten about by the end of the day. A lot of factors contribute to the aftermath of a relationship, like how long it lasted and whose decision it was to end it.

Mason and Marni both got dumped recently and they’re still bummed about it. Jason notices his friends are down and tries to help them come up with some ways to move on.

4. Gramatica. Substantivele numerabile şi nenumerabile. (Count and Noncount Nouns)

Marni spune când întrerupi relaţia cu cineva, trebuie să distrugi toate fotografiile (photos) şi celelalte probe (evidence).

Substantivele photos şi evidence sunt un exemplu bun de diferenţă între substantivele numerabile şi nenumerabile.

Poţi avea doar o fotografie sau poţi avea câteva fotografii. Este posibil de a le număra. Deci photo este un substantiv numerabil. El are forma de plural care se formează prin adăugarea lui -s (photos).

În diferenţă de limba română, în limba engleză cuvântul evidence este un substantiv nenumărabil.
Că şi furniture, homework, sau luggage, cuvântul evidence se numeşte a mass noun deoarce desemnează un număr mai mare de lucruri care sunt grupate împreună.
În contextul nostru, probele pot include cadourile ei, precum şi fotografii cu ea. Acest tip de substantive (mass nouns) sunt nenumerabile şi nu au formă de plural.

Last week, when Marni and Mason told Beren about their new friends Ella and Dale, she seemed to sense something was a little strange about them.
She probably didn’t guess that they are undercover cops who have come to investigate her kidnapping of her twin, but she seemed sketched out.

3. Priviţi. Acum Beren se va întâlni cu Dale şi Ella pentru prima dată. Vor reuşi ei să o tragă pe sfoară?

4. Gramatica. Adverbe (Adverbs)

Cred că aţi observat că Ella foloseşte de mai multe ori cuvântul just.
De exemplu, ea spune: We’re just so curious, şi, We would just love to hang out with you.
De fapt, ea foloseşte cuvântul just aproape în fiecare propoziţie!

Just este un adverb (cuvântul care determină un verb) care are mai multe sensuri:
- nu demult, I just arrived;
- abea, He just avoided tripping;
- exact, The tea is just the right temperature;
- într-adevăr, I just love this movie.

În cele din urmă, just poate avea sensul de pur şi simplu sau doar, numai.
Anume cu acest sens îl foloseşte Ella când vorbeşte cu Beren. Ea nu doreşte ca Beren să suspecte ceva, deaceia foloseşte just de multe ori.

5. Răspundeţi.

2. Citiţi.
Last week on the soap opera, we learned that Marni and Mason’s new friends, Dale and Ella, are actually undercover police officers who have come to investigate Beren’s kidnapping by her evil twin.
But, so far, Marni and Mason still just think Dale and Ella are really cool.

3. Priviţi ce ei spun lui Beren despre prietenii săi noi. Cum vi se pare reacţia?

4. Gramatica. Viitorul simplu (Simple Future Tense)

Se foloseşte viitorul simplu pentru a vorbi de acţiuni care vor avea loc în viitor.

Sunt două forme de formare a viitorului în limba engleză.
1) be going to, de exemplu, I am going to watch a movie tonight.
2) will + verb, de exemplu, I will see you soon.

În unele cazuri, când este vorba de preziceri pentru viitor, se pot folosi ambele forme be going to sau will + verb.
Dar când este vorba despre ceva deja planificat sau deja hotărât, cel mai bine e de folosit be going to, de exemplu, I’m going to watch a movie later. Want to watch it with me?

Există şi forme scurte. Când Marni spune, You’ll meet them, ea are în vedere, You will meet them, şi când spune, You’re gonna love them, ea are în vedere You’re going to love .
